Courses
Greenfield Language School's teaching staff are professionally trained
and experienced in teaching English to speakers of other languages. If you
are interested in learning English, GLS can advise you of the course and
level which would be appropriate for you. Should you require Homestay and/or
other accommodation advice, Greenfield Language School can assist you.

General English
The General English course develops your ability to understand English and
use it effectively in a variety of contexts. You will also develop an
awareness of the cultural values and attitudes of English-speaking countries,
with particular emphasis on New Zealand society, culture and heritage.
Full-Time Courses (25 hours of tuition per week) or Part-Time Courses (15
hours of tuition per week) begin every Monday, lasting two weeks or more (however
a minimum of four weeks is recommended). All levels from beginners to
advanced.
High School Preparation
The aim of the High School Preparation Module is bring your English up to
the level necessary to enter a New Zealand High school. In addition to
general language skills, extra emphasis is placed on the language used in
the various subjects you are likely to encounter at High School.
Full-time (25 hours per week). Regular tests and feedback ensure you are
aware of your progress. Cultural activities are arranged so you can gain the
social and cultural skills needed to participate fully at High School and in
New Zealand life.
Business Courses
The aim of the Advanced Business English Course is to help you to improve
your English so you can use it effectively and confidently in business and
commerce. You will be introduced to the formal English required to
communicate in meetings, business conversations, correspondence and reports.
Outings to local enterprises are arranged so you can view first hand New
Zealand business in action. You must have an intermediate level of English
to enrol in this course.
Part-time (15 hours per week). Course length is two, three or four weeks.
Who is the course for? This course is for people who will soon need to
use English in their day-to-day work but is also suitable for a wide variety
of learners from young students or trainees with no work experience to
senior businesspeople with a lot of experience in dealing with foreign
business partners.
Exam Preparation Course
The IELTS course will suit you if you would like to study at Senior High
School, Polytechnic or University level in New Zealand or in any other
English Speaking country. Entry level requirements: Upper Intermediate.
